Serving the Midlands of South Carolina, including Columbia, with personal experience, caring, and professional instruction.  We offer individual and group Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) training tailored to fit your personal needs while exceeding South Carolina Law Enforcement Division requirements for your CWP application.

 

Our class also meets the Florida State training requirements to apply for your Florida non-resident CWP., which will add to the number of states in which you may legally carry your concealed weapon.

 

Our primary instructor James D. "Jim" Jones is a retired weapons and special warfare tactics instructor with over 26 years of "hands on" experience in the active Army, specializing in counter-terrorism and personal self defense with and without weapons.  Jim is a SLED Certified CWP Instructor, NRA Certified Handgun Instructor, and a NRA Certified Range Safety Officer, who has been certified in the Security Industry in the civilian sector since the late 70's.

 

Our concealed weapons training and permit class is conducted in a family atmosphere in a classroom setting dedicated to one-on-one personal training by our Team of both NRA and SLED Certified Instructors, culminating at a National Rifle Association approved outdoor range nearby.  This is professional, safe instruction.  Ask about our military, group, family, and seniors discounts. 

 

Soldiers understand soldiers best, both active and retired.  Our team is uniquely skilled in teaching the relationship between your duties and regulations in the military, and the local and state laws concerning your Concealed Weapons Permit.  Your service is recognized, appreciated, and rewarded in our class.

 

ATTENTION: Disabled Veterans should bring a copy of the Cover Letter from the Department of Veterans Affairs awarding you a disability.  By bringing this letter with you, you will NOT be required to pay the $50.00 fee charged by the State of South Carolina to process your CWP application.  We are proud to assist the citizens of SC obtain their concealed weapons permit (CWP).

Self defence cwp offers Sate of South Carolina approved traing classes so you can obtain your concealed weapons permit (cwp) for the state of South Carolina.  We offer classes for residents of the entire state, as well as: CWP Certification for residents of: Columbia, Lexington, Irmo, Camden, Orangeburg, Sumter, Greenville, Anderson, Myrtle Beach, Florence, Charleston, Georgetown, and any other city/county in South Carolina.  Self Defense CWP also offers the Utah non-resident concealed firearms permit class.
